INDUSTRY, an upcoming location in San Marcos

On of the things I love doing most in my field of work is collaborating with business owners on featuring their work in the best possible light and when it comes to having fun on the job, I have really enjoyed working with Cafe Josie owner Codie Taylor, his executive chef Todd Havers and partner Harlan Scott on capturing some action surrounding their newest venture; INDUSTRY; opening in San Marcos, early 2018.

These guys make some serious BBQ pulled pork that they rub and smoke themselves... I had a chance to sample some at one of their Pecan Square Hoedown event a few weeks back. Check out a few captures below

Catching Cafe Josie's Sunday Brunch Experience

Cafe Josie just launched an exciting new brunch experience. starting this Sunday (11/12). There's gonna be a band, some friggin awesome food... which by the way I merily sampled while capturing it last Sunday during the soft opening. Below are few shots of some of their menu items. The shrimp and grits were to die for... the gluten-free pecan-syrup smothered pancakes were out of this world...

it's been a while

It's hard getting into the swing of posting content, I must admit. I have been working on some exciting projects and meanwhile, posting updates has just fallen by the wayside. One of the things I really wanted to put up her was my recent encounter with the super cool work of John Peralta... I was stopped in my tracks while walking past Wally Workman's art gallery, on 6th street, downtown Austin...
John's pieces are eye-stopping to say the least. Of course a picture is worth a 1000 words (and 10,000 of mine) so here are a couple of captures, courtesy of John and Wally, who kindly let me roam around the gallery with my camera.
I shot these with a 50mm prime @ f4 and a 105mm Macro @ f3

Excited to be collaborating with AOD again!

I am truly excited to be working with John and Jose at Austin Outdoor Design again on featuring their awesome projects...

Check them out at www.austinoutdoordesign.com; they're a boutique architectural design firm focused on churning out gorgeous outdoor living spaces. I visited a couple of project sites which will be ready to shoot in the next few weeks and I can't wait to see what we'll produce on picture day! Meanwhile, I took some shots of their progress.

Fun with details and shallow depth of field

I recently came back from Montana and while you arguably can't take a bad picture while cruising Paradise Valley, finding material which has not been featured in tons of other places is increasingly hard to come by. I set out to make a series of detail shots of famous Virginia City in vicinity of Ennis... The whole town is a work of art, really. The streets, the shops, everything has been protected and preserved and even feature goods from last century... vintage eye candy everywhere. Check out a few of the captures. We're putting up a larger gallery in our faves of the month
